Chet graduated from Bucksport High School and went on to graduate from Maine Maritime Academy, before joining the Navy. Chet and his family moved across Maine and New Hampshire during his engineering career within paper mills. Chet enjoyed life to the fullest; flying planes, camping, fishing, boating, scuba diving, spending time with family, and he had a way with animals, both pets and those in the wild. Chet was always busy working outside or puttering on motors, boats, etc.
Although Chet spent many winters in Florida, he was always with family in Maine for the summer, including many birthdays poolside or at the lake. Chet was a highly respected, caring and wonderful person, who will be missed by his family and friends.
A gathering will be held on January 11, 2025 at 1pm at the Orland United Methodist Church, Parish Hall. This is an opportunity for all to share memories of Chet. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Silver Lake Cemetery, Bucksport.
