Graduation Awards Announced for Maine Maritime Academy’s Class of 2021
CASTINE – Maine Maritime Academy has announced 28 awards to honor 35 graduating students who have demonstrated academic excellence, exemplary character, and an enduring commitment to the college’s community. The announcement follows this spring’s Commencement Ceremony and the recent completion of U.S Coast Guard exams.
“These students represent the best of the Maine Maritime Academy,” notes Dr. Keith Williamson, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. “We are incredibly proud to celebrate their accomplishments. I look forward to learning of their future success.”
This year’s awards celebrate student accomplishments in the areas of engineering, management, science, business, and transportation. Students are nominated based on recommendations from the college’s faculty and staff and selected by a committee of reviewers representing each academic field.
