Lindsay Smith graduated in 2000 with a B.S. in Marine Engineering Technology and a minor in Mathematics. At MMA, Lindsay was a charter member of the women’s basketball program, where she was a three-time captain, and she also earned the honor of being named the Academy’s first female Cadet Chief Engineer. Following graduation Lindsay went to work for TransOcean Deepwater Drilling, where she was responsible for maintaining the proper operation of the engineering plant. In 2003 she joined Norwegian Cruise Line, where she was part of the start-up team bringing the first large U.S.-Flagged cruise ship back to Hawaii. In 2014 Lindsay was promoted to Chief Engineer, becoming the first female Chief Engineer in the cruise line industry. In 2015 she was inducted into MMA’s Athletics Hall of Fame. Lindsay resides in Kingston, New Hampshire.
