Day 17: Lifeboat 4’s Pump Installed
The pump for Lifeboat 4’s davit arrived late this morning and has been installed! The sealant/gasket used to install the pump needs to cure in place overnight before filling the hydraulic tank first thing in the morning. After the tank is filled, we can start testing. A USCG inspector will be aboard at 0800 to witness the testing, with the expectation of the ship receiving approval to sail.
If approved to depart, we’ll begin casting off lines around noon on Friday and sail to New York. The TSSOM will take bunkers in New York before departing on Monday morning for Tenerife.
