Students Hard at Work on Pre-cruise Assignments
In preparation for the Summer Cruise, juniors assist freshmen in learning key aspects of life on cruise and the Training Vessel itself. The training is split between deck sections and engine sections with biweekly assignments with the purpose of furthering the understanding of the freshman. Pictured here is one of the engine ship rates helping a freshman trace different systems around the engine room. All freshmen who will cruise this summer must complete both the deck and engine assignments. While the assignment is often time-consuming, it is important that everyone onboard is familiar with ship board operations. Pre-Cruise is going great!

- Day 2: Stores, Stores and More Stores…Today, on Tuesday, May 7th, Alpha company was on utility. Usually, this means that cadets spend a few hours cleaning before getting a day of much-needed rest.
