On Wednesday morning, October 1, 2025, Maine Maritime Academy will conduct a Remembrance Ceremony on the 10th anniversary of the loss of the El Faro and her crew. The ceremony will begin at 0700 on Leavitt Lawn and will last approximately 30 minutes. The Regiment of Midshipmen, including the Regimental band and choir, will participate in the ceremony with remarks from Pastor Keenan Eaton, MMA class of 2015. There are two career fairs each year held in October and March respectively. These events attract companies and alumni from across the country who are eager to discuss employment and field experience opportunities with our students. In 2025, MMA welcomed over 100 companies including American Bureau of Shipping, Hornbeck Offshore, Milton CAT, Siemens Energy, Talen Energy Alaskan Dream Cruises, Grand River Navigation/Rand Logistics and Irving Forest Products.
