There are two career fairs each year held in October and March respectively. These events attract companies and alumni from across the country who are eager to discuss employment and field experience opportunities with our students. In 2025, MMA welcomed over 100 companies including American Bureau of Shipping, Hornbeck Offshore, Milton CAT, Siemens Energy, Talen Energy Alaskan Dream Cruises, Grand River Navigation/Rand Logistics and Irving Forest Products.

Maine Maritime Academy’s Admiral’s Dinner recognizes those within the maritime industry whose vision, dedicated effort, and singular commitment to the highest ideals of the shipping or related industry have distinguished them and their organization as among the very best in the world. MMA’s A Night By The Bay gala and auction to benefit scholarships will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at the Sheraton Sable Oaks in South Portland. As in years past, this event will include live and silent auction items, hearty hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and plenty of time to mingle and socialize with MMA alumni, event sponsors, and friends.
